477 Program
The goals of the 477 program are to reduce joblessness and encourage self-sufficiency among federally recognized tribal members within the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians' service area.
WORK EXPERIENCE (477 WEX)
Since the fiscal year 2008, approximately 85 adult work experience positions at 300 hours each, have been filled by Native Americans from Federally Recognized Tribes.
CLIENT SUPPORT
-Assistance securing work tools, supplies, attire, childcare, temporary transportation costs.
HIGH SCHOOL & GED COMPLETION
An incentive stipend is awarded upon completion
WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT TRAINING
Work Ethic, Interview Skills, Resume/Cover Letter
Scheduled and delivered upon need and demand.
